The BBC Notices the Stoke Demo

EDL demo in Stoke

The EDL demo finally made it into the MSM, but the report is very thin:

English Defence League protests in Stoke-on-Trent

About 1,500 English Defence League (EDL) supporters are at a rally in Stoke-on-Trent to protest about alleged Islamic extremism.

Up to 300 members from the group Unite Against Fascism are also in Hanley, police said.

Staffordshire Police said more than 600 officers were keeping the peace between the groups.

Five people have been arrested for public order offences. Supt Dave Mellor said the disorder had been sporadic.

Notice that “Islamic extremism” is “alleged”. They don’t call it “Al-Beeb” for nothing.

Hat tip: ICLA.

@BBC article - The Right Rev Gordon Mursell, the Church of England Bishop of Stafford, said after signing the pledge on Thursday: "We believe that real diversity actually helps create a vibrant and attractive city.

"The EDL and BNP think the opposite. That is why we oppose them."

Will the church of England ever stand-up for Christianity in England, or will it continue to submit to islam, how long before a prominent member converts and brings the COE crashing down.

This demo in Stoke is one of many events and developments in the past year or so that convince me that the fight against islam is being won. These include the Swiss minaret vote, Pro-Köln's expansion in Germany etc. Things have been moving in the wrong direction for a long time, but I firmly believe that the tide has now turned. Like the battles of Stalingrad and Alamein, these events will in hindsight be regarded as inevitable, although they may be surprising at the time.
The long march against the islamization of Europe has begun, and it is not predicated on the Ragnarök that some may expect.

Didn't Prince Charles already fulfill that particular role?

Zenster,

Certainly, a battle royal between the dark forces at work for the Black King and the pretender forces of the Shadow King.
